Aspire S7 - Stuck on Boot Screen after factory reset - Windows 10

Hi all, I had a nightmare day yesterday. Hope the community can help. Of course my laptop is 3 months out of warranty... getting desperate here.

First it started with random issues to do with WiFi adapter and Sound. Tried my luck at reinstalling Intel adapters, Malware and Antivirus scan and removal. Called Acer support who advised what I had thought would be the response...you'll need to factory reset.

All looking good until it began to restart and got stuck doing this (video below)...which it hasn't stopped doing. It won't go past this screen. Any advice welcome!

try to press ALT+F10 at boot and check if you can reset your OS and do it again.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

For those at home I managed to finally resolve this myself by undertaking a factory reset via USB load.

    1. Download Windows 10 Media Creation Tool > Load it to USB

    2. Go into Bios (F2) and set it to boot from USB

    3. Format/Erase previous versions of windows

    4. Install Windows 10.

For the time being it seems to be working ok. I'm hesitant to install the latest intel wifi drivers as they could have potentially been in the issue in the first place!
