When are the Switch 10's going to get the windows 10 upgrade?  I think every other eligible device in the world has already recieved it.  I'D rather not try the manual process.

I've been wondering the same thing for my Switch 10, SW5-012.

I don't want to do the manual install either.  The upgrade sounds safer and easier.

On another non-Acer Windows 7 PC, once I started the upgrade, it was virtually automatic, with almost no user action and no problems.

Does anyone know why there is a delay?

What does Microsoft say when you click on the little Windows icon in the status bar? There have been a lot of people who have upgraded already...

Click on "Like" if you find my answer useful or click on "Yes" if it answers your question.

On several machines I have used the "Media Creation Tool" to upgrade. One of the selections is to upgrade directly withut creating any media. Just select whether your current OS is 32 or 64 bit (the upgrade is based on your current OS & if you have UEFI - most tablets - the 32 bit signature library is different from the 64 bit).

The Windows icon on my PC says:

"We're validating Windows 10 for your PC

Thank you for reserving your free upgrade.  We recommend that you upgrade after you get your notification that Windows 10 is ready for your PC.

While upgrades have started for most PCs, we're continuously working with our partners to ensure that even more PCs work well with Windows 10.

Your notification to upgrade could come as soon as a few days or weeks."

I check the Windows icon daily and it's had the same message since July 29.

    I have a SW5-012, 32 bit, Windows 8.1 with Bing, 64 GB.

I apply Windows Updates every day (if any).  I use the Acer Care Center to check for notification of software updates and drivers.  The only Acer update that's outstanding is Chipset Driver and when I click to install that update nothing happens (this problem has been noted in another thread).
