ES1-111M touchpad freezes

Hello Community,

I bought an Acer Aspire ES1-111M not less than a month ago, pure for school purposes. While I am using the laptop on word to typ in lecture classes or do homework the touchpad ends up freezing and I have to press the FN+F7 button to "release" it again. It does work most of the time but not everytime.

I tried reinstalling drivers, using old drivers, resetting the entire touchpad. Nothing worked.

Please help?

My Wife has the Aspire ES1-111 and was experiencing the same prob with the TP. Several weeks ago I decided to upgrade the ram to 4gbs and also apply better Thermal Paste. After doing the upgrade I had slight trouble inserting the Touch Pad ribbon. With the white holding clip in the upright position I noticed that the ribbon could be inserted less or more. I then experimented with various positions ( NB. I had the laptop standing on its side with the bottom off) and then playing with Touch Pad , the best position I found was the ribbon inserted fully.

Since doing this the Touch Pad is very positive. My Wife ( who uses this laptop for 16 hrs a day, she's an invalid ) states that it is a big improvement.

Also, I had on a previous occasion tried to cure this prob. I looked in the device manager and noticed that the TP driver was by Microsoft, so I DL the Synaptics driver which improved the touch somewhat and finally checked the BIOS ( escape and F2 ) and changed it from basic to advanced.

    hope this helps!
