Acer V5-571, Bluetooth isn't working. Has latest drivers and all show device is working

I have a Acer V5-571P. I can't get Bluetooth to work. It has the latest driver from Acer installed and device manager shows bluetooth devices working properly. Still I can'tconnect to my headphones. They are detected and pair up but I get no sound from them, only from speakers in laptop. Is there a way to transfer sound control to bluetooth? What am I missing?

Thanks for any help/direction you can give me.

Its now working. The problem is that the laptop comes with software for Bluetooth but no Bluetooth module installed. This is a problem if you want to install your own USB Bluetooth adapter. You need to 'DISABLE' the Bluetooth in Device Manager, restart the machine, then let Windows install the driver for your new USB device. Then it will work.

    jfroberts,

If you pair the Bluetooth heaphones and go to sound playback options, are they listed there? You may need to direct sound to them instead of the speakers.

Which operating system are you running, Windows 8.1?
