Acer Aspire V3-551 8469 automatic dimming annoyance! Defect??

I recently purchased this laptop and have not had much time to use it since my Spring 2013 term has not started.

 

Well in class will on battery, power unplugged (not charging), I discovered dimming fluctuations. It is very annoying and bothers me significantly. My power plan is on "Baknced" and in within the plan settings I made several changes but still encounter the issue.

 

I would highly appreciate any support possible.

 

In Power Options, under display,

+ Dim display after.. Both parameters to 0 minutes

+Turk off display after.. Both parameters to a few minutes

+ Displey brightness... Both parameters differ

+ Dimmed display rightness... Both parameters to 0%

+ Enable adaptive brightness... Both parameters are set to OFF

 

I am highly wishing this issue will not lead to stress..
