    Hello!

If you are using the Swype keyboard (set as default keyboard) then please follow the steps below:

    1) Go to Settings> Language & keyboard > Swype > Language options.

See if French is shown in the list of Active languages.

If yes, then check the option "French".

If not, then tap on "Download languages" and select "French" (the device will need an active data connection to download the French dictionary from the Swype server).  After this step, French should appear in the list of Active languages. Check this option.

    2) When you use the keyboard next time, long press the space bar on the keyboard, and you should see a pop up message with a list of languages. Select French.  Now the keyboard should have the AZERTY layout.

If you want to use the Android keyboard, first you need to set it as default keyboard. You can do this in Settings> Language & keyboard > Select input method, and choose Android keyboard.

Next time you usethe keyboard, slide the space bar on the keyboard, until you should see "French" displayed.  Now the keyboard should have the AZERTY layout.

    Hope this helps!
