XB270HU flicker/text glow

I got this expensive XB270HU display and I'm so not happy with it.

 

Videos, some more than others, flicker or move like framerate was really low. It stays normal though and I got a decent computer anyway.

 

In webpages with dark background and light text, the text glows when I scroll the page. The same happens in Minecraft with the text on signs when I move.

 

Here are the settings I'm using:

Resolution & windows resolution 2560 x 1440
Brightness 49
Contrast 48
Gamma 22
Colour Temp User R53 G49 B47
OD Extrreme
ULMB Off (grayed out)
G-Sync on
144hz

 

Turning g-sync off does not help at all.

 

Turning overdrive off OR setting refresh rate to 60 will both make the problem with videos less noticeable. Doing both gets rid of the problem with the text as well as the video. However, scrolling pages and movement becomes kind of blurry.

 

I am using the DP cable that came with the monitor.

It could possibly be a firmware issue, I would recommend contacting the Acer technical support in your area and see what options are available to you.
