Hi all. I have a 2009 Acer Aspire One netbook model AOD250-1389. It came with Windows XP "designed for XP". I upgraded it to Windows 7 even though Acer warned me not to. But it ran better than with XP. Later I updated it to Windows 8 and then Windows 8.1. I had a little trouble fooling Windows 8 to accept the device driver for the display. I don't remember anymore what I did.

I have updated it to Windows 10 and it runs fine. I think it runs better than it did on any of the previous Windows versions. Everything works. Install went smoothly. Obviously it is underpowered. But it runs. And being that it is so light, I like it because I can carry it.

Yes I could buy a lightweight Windows tablet but I am happy with this for when I need it.

My Aspire One 532h netbook is also running Win 10 happily. Only issue, the 532h is 64-bit capable but Win 10 would only load the 32 bit version.

Have a gaggle of tabs but usually travel with the netbook.

You wouldn't see much of a difference with 64 bit over 32 bit on that processor.

But definately upgrade your memory if you haven't already. Maximum on my model is 2 GB which is what I have in it.

I had a few years ago, was an easy upgrade to 2 GB. I would not want to run anything later than XP on 1 GB of memory.
