Just bought this laptop secondhand and like it, a couple of issues though the mouse pad seems a little loose in that when doing a single click in the middle you have to knock it down a few times to register although this is intermittant the left and right click though are very positive.
I can get around that with a usb mouse if its a norm for the acer.
I was thinking of upgrading the ram as there is only 4gb in bit have seen you have to almost completely strip it down to do it. So if im going to do that I want to have a one fix.
I downloaded CPU-Z to check out the memory and its DDR3 PC3-12800 Kingston part number ACR1603LS 1KFG/4G 1.35v
also on the memory slot it says its 4gb in slot 1 - not 100% sure where slot 1 and 2 are though, if slot 1 is the hardest to get to i may just upgrade slot 2, i hope that the software is reading this right as 1 single stick rather than 2 sticks.
The other info i have about the acer is according to CPU-Z the motherboard model is EA50_HB V1.27 and Bios is V1.27 dated 23/3/2015 although im not sure whether the Bios has been updated and that would change the date.
My main question really is that is it likely that the ram will be one piece and if so whats the max i can fit in slot 2 or does it have to match? that would make the machine 8gb
