Product ID key blocked.

Purchased a new Aspire S3 from Amazon on Aug 25, 2013.  All attempts to upgrade to windows 10 failed recently.  Went on Microsoft remote.  Tech after much work said the product ID key was blocked by Acer and to contact them.  Attempts to reach them failed as the warranty support is no longer active.  What can I do?

    Very unusual problem.

    Question:

    When you bought the computer what was the operating system?

    Who is giving you the message "product ID key blocked"? windows 10 or Acer??
