XR341CK Refresh Rate Issue with Windows 10

When the screen goes to sleep after a certain period of inactivity, the refresh rate is set at 30Hz when it wakes up and there is no option anywhere to set it back as 75hz. I have to reboot and it'll be set as 75hz again.

The problem may be because the monitor's version 1 drivers I installed were for windows 7 and 8 only but that's the only available one on the website.

If Acer support or anyone can confirm the issue, that'd be great.

Specs:

Intel 5960x

Rampage V Extreme

Nvidia 980Ti SLI

Windows 10 x64

P.S. Waiting for the gysnc version, but the only other slight problem this screen has is the high pitched whine when you go lower than 60 in brightness. You can actually hear the different levels of whine when you move from 60 down to 25.

Dug in further, seems like using DisplayPort might be the issue. If i switch to a different source (i.e hdmi without it being connected), the monitor will switch back to DP and the 75Hz refresh is there again. I'll get a different DP cable and give it a try. Cannot reproduce this with a 2013 mac book pro using just the HDMI port. Any ideas?

CHanging cables didn't work, but I think I narrowed it down to just Geforce drivers not working properly. Created my own custom resolution @ 80Hz and this problem disappeared altogether. It has been a week without any problems. Can't wait for the Gsync version.

This really is a driver issue with Nvidia SLI or not, but it has to do with this monitor. I thought I'd share and hopefully Acer can work with Nvidia to make their new monitors compatible with Win10. I know we are using bleeding edge tech here, I don't mind doing the troubleshooting as long as someone acknowledges the issue and will fix it.

Serious memory leak with 355.60 as soon as the monitor goes to sleep. I've done extensive testing with poolmon, xperf, etc to see if any other drivers cause this, but nothing, this is a brand new win10 fresh install. Easiest way I can show this is via MSI afterburner.

Monitor is set to sleep after 1 minute so I can do this quick test.

You can see less than 2 minutes in, pagefile usage already jumped up 4gb.

Unless I wake the monitor, this will eventually eat up all virtual memory resulting in:

So... acer feel free to chime in at any time... been on this on my own, can't reproduce this with samsung SEC34.

I know im late to the party, Same monitor, r9 fury X. Same issue I think is happening here. When the monitor wakes up from being shut off. Defaults right too 30hz, can't change it back. You must restart to fix it. Other than creating a custom resolution profile. I've just opted to have the monitor stay on and use a screen saver. Yes I hate it. Screen saver? its 1998 again!!?
