My laptop stopped working on battery. Starting on battery doesn't work, the computer is totally dead. However when i plug in AC adapter, i can boot. Then after the computer booted, if i unplug AC adapter, the computer immediately turns off. Below is information generated by BatteryInfoView. It seems that the battery itself is OK. What could be the problem? Tried to unplug and plug batter to the motherboard, didn't help.

It seems the problem solved itself. Here's what i observed during the last three days.

T-2: computer still doesn't work on battery (if unplugged, everything turns off immediately. it's like unplugging desktop computer). If plugged in, the computer works perfectly. The battery light on the front was always blue and win10 showed that battery is 100% charged.

T-1: After some work i shut down my computer. And then i noticed that the battery light on the front was orange (not blue like always). After around 10 minutes it turned back to blue.

T: After getting Justin's response i shut down computer just to test what he suggested. I unplug AC, press power button and.... It finally starts on battery Smiley Happy

This is all input i can give from what i observed. Never happened to me before that hardware problem magically disappears. In any case, thank you Justin for your help.

    ed091maf,

It could be the AC adapter itself that is the problem. Does it show a charging light when the notebook is powered off? If so, I would get a new adapter and see if that fixes it.
