ASPIRE V3-471G WINDOWS 10 UPGRADE LOCALE AND LANGUAGE SETTINGS

When I first tried to upgrade from Windows 7 Home basic to windows 10 using the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft, I got the "Something Happened" message. so I googled the problem and found out that the Language and locale should be compatible with each other.

So what I did was go into Windos 7 settings and set the Language, Region, Keyboard to English USA saved the settings as new user then reboot the laptop. I then again checked the settings for uniformity as English USA.

 

Upgrade using the Tool went on smoothly but took 3 hours because of the big download.
