ES1-511 Touchpad

in 2015 Archives

Hello all, I love my Acer laptop but since I did the update to Windows 10 I do not have use of the TrackPad,has anyone had this issue and is there a solution as of yet.  I have searched all around and done all the D/Lthat was told but to no avail.

    I do see that as an eligible model to upgrade to, but do not see the Windows 10 drivers loaded yet. Have you tried removing the drivers and installing the ones from our support site for Windows 8 to see if that resolves the issue?

    Mraamohamed,

    Did you see my earlier post? When your computer boots up (when you see acer symbol) hit f3 (or maybe it's f4) and enter the bios. Change trackpad from advanced to basic and it should fix the problem. It did for me

    See here is my trobles, and even the Acer tech was baffled,even in the system info there is not even a listing for my trackpad, so the tech told me that I would just have to wait till the hardware manufacturer made new drivers for Windows 10.

     

    I will try your advice for the f3/f4 and see what happens.
