AZ5771 freezes during Windows 10 installation at 70% and returns it to Windows 7

Tried the "update" method on Windows 10 for the Acer AZ5771 all-in one and it does fine until the 70% mark when it is installing the software and drivers. Then the screen goes black and just stays there (30 minutes one time). Figuring it is frozen, I punch the power button to do a hard power cycle. Upon restarting it tries to continue the installation, then reverts to restoring the old Win7 program. I've also tried to do a "fresh" install from a USB drive, but when prompted for the activation key the one stamped on the back it came with shows as "not valid." Anybody got any idea where to go from here? Acer's support page on this seems pretty confusing, unless I'm looing at the wrong one. Thanks in advance.

it's better if you sucessfully update to windows 10, since your windows 7 license will be switched to a windows 10 license.

if you do a clean install, you can skip the activation key steps (windows 7-8.x key will not work) and install windows 10 without issue....apart activating, this will need a genuine windows 10 key.

OK, i found out I'm incuring an error code 0xc004f050. Says the key I'm trying to enter has been blocked. So, is Acer in the habit of using illict OS? It is the one listed on the certificate label on the back panel, so is this an Acer problem or not?
