So I've been upgraded to Windows 8.1 for some time now and I've had Dolby Digital Plus. It's worked fine up until a week ago, it would randomly turn off and on with different things. When I tried to play a game it would turn off (if i tabbed out to turn on again, it would turn off when I entered the game.) So I uninstalled my audio drivers then reinstalled, then reinstalled Dolby Digital Plus, now it won't show that its even recognizing sounds (I would play music, or play a game and the bars in the equalizer won't move) So I uninstalled and did some research, finding out there was a Dolby Digital Home Theater v4. So I installed that but the equalizer bars arent moving when sound is being played. SO, I uninstalled audio drivers and reinstall once again. Still nothing. I don't know what to do. I need help Smiley Sad

    jarce248,

If it just randomly started having issues it could be that Windows updates may have caused the issue to crop up. I would recommend performing a system restore to when it worked correctly and working forward from there.
