I have an Acer Aspire laptop which has served me well. The laptop shuts off unexpectedly when on battery power or plugged in.  The battery has been replaced twice, fans and interior ducts cleaned, system calaberated and yet the problem still occurs. Has anyone had this isssue?

What is the fix? It is becoming frustrating and a nuasance; especially when working on important projects. The laptop is 2 years old. I have had not other problems up to this point. Can someone please advise how to fix, what to look for or what next steps should be taken?

Thank you.

    Hello,

Here is the part number of the power board:

    55.M1FN1.001POWER BD (30 USD)

I also would check the power cable:

    50.RSF01.001CABLE.POWER.BOARD
    France

    Hello,

If the battery charges correctly, may be the power board...

Wow thank you for the prompt response. So dare I ask what the powerboard is and how much it cost?

Could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

Thank you so much for your prompt response and advice. I will certainly pursue both options.  Thank you. Have a nice day.

On a final note: Is this a common problem with this style laptop?
