Hi

Everytime I start my laptop up the number pad is locked and I have to press the NumLock key to be able to use the number keys.

How do I turn this off, I dont want my number keys to be locked.

Thanks

Sophie

you need to edit windows registry to keep NumLock from boot:

It is also a change in the register but not the one I have read in most posts.

    • Start Regedit (on windows 8 press window key logo + r and then type Regedit and press enter)
    • Open HKEY USERS
    • Open Default
    • Open Control Panel
    • Click on Keyboard
    • On the right side you get 4 keyboard items
    • InitialKeyboardIndicators has a number as data > 2147483648 (If InitialKeyboadIndicators shows a value of 0, change the value to 2)
    • Doubleclick on InitialKeyboardIndicators
    • In the small window you get you change the last 2 numbers from 48 to 50 and get 2147483650
    • Click on ok
    • Close the register window
    • Reboot and check NumLock state
