Projector H5370BD sometimes turns to black and white with image flickering.

Hi,,

 

My Projector H5370BD sometimes turns to black and white with image flickering. I switch of the projector then and when I do a reboot, it will come to life after running the fan. This has happened a couple of times and it is not permanent, usually the reboot helps.

 

The experience is annoying as you need to say a prayer every time you invite someone for a movie. What may be the issue?

    Prem_blr,

     

    The first thing I would do is see if the projector might need some cleaning, it could have some dust clogs that are causing it to heat up and have issues.

    Thanks Acer-Justin, I will do as per our advice, will send the projector for cleaning with a technician. I had the cleaning exactly an year back.
