NEED HELP

hi iam a newbies here and a no how guy about the upgrade thing..but i really need your need..

 

I own an Acer TMP-256 MG 52GV Intel i5, originally 4gb of ram

 

I WANT TO upgradE it To 8gb.

 

I already bought an 4gb memory

 

I put the RAM in the memory slots, but when I went to the control panel, system tab it still says I only have 4gb of RAM. Also I went to properties i only have 4gb and i also went to BIOS and it also says I only have 4O96MB of RAM instead of 8gb of ram.

 

Why is the extra 4gb of RAM not detected?

 

the RAM i bought is a samsung 4GB 2R something

is this a compatible ram

 

it is difficult also in putting my ram..
