I did a factory restore using erecovery. It now shows me as having a 32bit system rather than the 64bit system I had.

How do I get it back to 64bit.

I have a Veriton X498G desktop'

Thanks for your help.

I did a second ercovery using the complete restore and not keeping any data. When it rebooted it was back to the 64 bit system. I have no idea as to how or why this happened but the complete restore fixced the problem.

I hope this solurtion might help someone else in the future.

Did you purchase your computer new or used?  If you bought it used, then someone (the previous owner) could have installed 64 bit on it, but left the recovery partition intact with original 32 bit OS.

If you bought it new, you can usually just check your old sales receipt or item description if purchsed online to double check.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
