Touchpad stops working for few seconds and then continues to work for a while and then stops again, it does this all the time.

I´ve downloaded Synaptics driver from Acer Support but no solution.

    alfspace98,

When did this issue start happening, after some recent Windows Updates were installed? If so, you can perform a system restore to before they were installed when the touchpad was working correctly and go forward from there. Sometimes Windows Updates can have a bad installation and cause problems, this is the easiest fix for it.

I did a system restore as you mentioned but the problem continued, so I did a completely new install from windows 8.1 media and applied all the updates, but the same behaviour.

    alfspace98,

Thanks for the update. If you have done all that it could mean that the notebook may have a hardware problem.

As long as nothing was spilled on the system or it was dropped, it could just be a defective touchpad. I would recommend contacting the Acer Technical support nearest you to see what options are available.

Thanks, I was just wondering that, I will take it to the dealer I bought it from.

Thanks for all your help. Regards.
