Acer Aspire VN7-591G-70RT WiFi performance fluctuates

I am experiencing a problem with my new notebook in which WiFi speeds fluctuate when downloading rather than remaining constant, as they should. I initially noticed this problem when dowloading from Steam as it shows a graphic of the download speed, as in this screenshot. The same thing seemed to be happening with general downloads from browsers though I could still stream 1080p video so it didn't seem like a big deal. However, I attempted to stream a game from my desktop PC to the notebook with Steam In Home Streaming today, and this problem became very evident. The game would run smoothly for a few second, then drop to only a few FPS for a few seconds and repeat. I have tried using a few different drivers provided by Acer to fix this problem but I have had no luck. I have monitored download speeds on another computer to confirm this isn't a problem with my router. I'm beginning to think this is a hardware issue as I have read some complaints regarding WiFi in this model notebook. If not, however, I would be veryappreciative if anyone could share a fix for this problem.

    windoge,

Have you ran the patch to see if that helps with your wireless performance?

I have. Though since posting this I have done quite a bit more troubleshooting and determined this problem is not limited to the notebook. It has now begun to affect my desktop as well and seems to be a problem related to both my router and notebook, perhaps some kind of compatibility issues or something. I have contacted my router's manufacturer's support.
