Chromebook 11 is brand new. Has been plugged in to charge for 8 hours. Only 29% charge!?

    Check if the adapter is securely connected to the wall outlet and power port on your Chromebook. Try another wall outlet.
    You may go ahead and power ON the Chromebook, use it without plugging the adapter to drain it completly.
    Then connect the adapter and charge it fully again.
