wifi is locked, can't get internet

    Which tablet do you have? Which OS is on it? If you move the tablet really close (within 1 meter) to the wireless router, can it see the network?

    its an acer android, its my granchildrens, they had internet until yesterday, now i see a lock on the wifi

    it sees the wifi but it can't connect because of the lock and we don't understand how it got there.

    Acer has made a number of different Android tablets, through at least three or four different versions of Android. Things like what is displayed for the available wireless connections are what looks different in different versions of AAndroid. How old is the tablet? Maybe we can make a good guess as to which you have...

     

    That being said, most often a lock symbol over the WiFi 'bars' means that the network is password protected. If you have connected to the network before it should remember the password and let you get on. If not when you try to connect it should ask you for the password.
