aspire v 11 touch battery problem

Just got a refurbished Acer Aspire V 11 Touch from Argos Outlet on Ebay. It is running fine but for the fact the battery has no charge to it.

 

If i unplug from the mains it just goes black. In the tray it states that the charge is at 0% plugged in not charging. There is a battery reset on the base of the laptop but it has not fixed problem. I also went into device manager and uninstalled microsoft acpi compliant control method battery and restarted it but still doesnt work.

 

I sent email to Argos and they have come back saying i can send it back and get a full refund but they cannot at the moment offer me a replacement. I dont particulary want my money back, i want to fix the machine myself.

I recommend you contact Acer technical support in the UK to see if you can order the battery, or if they can refer you to someone who can sell you the battery.
