Veriton M450G memory upgrade

I have a Veriton M450G with the original 4 Gb RAM (2 x 2 Gb). I purchased 2 x 4 Gb DDR3 1333 modules to upgrade it to at least 8 Gb. No matter what combination of modules and slots I try, the machine will not recognise both 4 Gb modules simultaneously. If I insert 1 x 4 Gb along with the 2 x 2 Gb modules, it goes into a reboot loop before POST; 2 x 4 Gb and it hangs at the boot screen; 1 x 4 Gb, it boots; 2 x 2 Gb it boots. I don't know what else to try. The BIOS version is the latest available.

Thanks!

    Hello,

Could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

    Hello,

Your desktop is a Veriton M490G.

    Memory specifications:

    - Slot number: 4

    - Size per slot: 1/2/4Gb

    - Type: DDR3-1066 or 1333MHz Un-buffered - non-ECC

    - Voltage: 1.5V

    - Maximum supported: 16Gb

    - Note: Dual channel should be enabled always when plug-in 2 same memory size DDRIII memory module.

1- Which memory sticks have you installed (brand,P/N)?

    2- Which OS 32 or 64-bit?

    That much I thought I had right. Current modules 1 x 2 Gb Kingmax, 1 x 2 Gb Samsung, both DDR3 10600 1333 MHz. Want to add/replace with 2 x 4 Gb Patriot PSD34G133381 modules, also supposed to be 10600 1333MHz. Running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

    Hello,

I used the Patriot memory finder and I didn't find your part number in the list of compatible sticks with the Veriton M490G.
