Hello ! I have and old Extensa 5210 that I want to upgrade as much as possible. I searched in the web and found various information about a CPU upgrade. The current processor is a single core Celeron M 1.6 GHz, but can it run a Core 2 Duo T5000 series (533 FSB) or T7000 series (667 FSB) ? In numerous sites, the chipset given for this computer is an Intel 943GML which supports those CPUs atleast on paper. Can someone help me out ? Thanks in advance ! ^^

You have the same motherboards of Aspire TravelMate 5310:

    Spoiler
    MB.TK601.001MAIN BD.W/1394.W/MDM/RTC/BAT
    MB.TK601.002MAIN BD.943GML.ICH7M.W/1394/RTC.LF

The original CPUs of these motherboards are:

    Hello,

Could you give me the first ten characters of the computer serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

Sorry but to be sure, I need the part number of the motherboard.

You'll find it near memory slots like this (ex: MB.PT401.001):

Well, I dont have a sticker on the motherboard, because the previous owner upgraded the RAM and maybe then the sticker has fallen off. But I checked via the Linux Terminal and the serial was the same as the sticker under the chassis.
