I bought an veriton m275 used with a reformated hard drive and no windows. I just loaded the windows 7 through a recovery disk I purchased on ebay. worked fine. But I tired to download the drivers on a usb drive but they wont open, pc cant find them. The system wont let me extract them from their zip files download from Acer site. any suggestions? Can I try dowloading to disk? or should I choose "open" option rather than "Save" option?  I downloaded them through another computer because of course the recovery disk does not contain the drivers to get on the internet.

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks, but I was able to resolve by one of my own suggestions. I downloaded the files to a usb drive, then I chose "open". This led me to, as you suggested, the download file and in there it gave me option to extract. I repeated process with each driver. When finished I plugged drive to the target pc. There I was able to access the file and the "install" file for each driver. I proceeded to install each driver from each downloaded driver file. I am currently doing it after finishing the waiting win 7 updates. So it seems to be resolved.

Thanks again for the advice. i will download 7zip or B1.

Windows 7 must be able to open .zip file, without issues, have you tried to right click the zip file and choose extract content....

in the worst case, download 7z and install on your M275, this software will unzip, unrar etc etc very easily: just  right click the zip file and choose unzip.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
