Hi.

I have been trying to search on the internet about wich type of SATA conection i have on my motherboard (Acer aspire m5-581tg)

Is it SATA 300 or SATA 600?

I have bought a SATA cable on ebay and added an SATA3 250gb SSD (kingston v300) parralel to my existing m.2 128gb ssd (to gain more internal storage)

my quetion is if my computer supports 6gbs SATA speed or only 3gbs??

I have allready installed it. but my system is acting verry slow compared to m.2 ssd :/

Do you know if i can use single sided and/or duoble side m.2 ssd?

This will be my option to upgrade my ecsisting m.2 ssd for a bigger one Smiley Happy

After trying a bit and finding usefull drivers. I will give 250 gb ssd a try. Looks promesing now. Firmware updated and correct intel drivers in place fixed my major issue. (system lag)

    So happy at the moment.

Thank you for the pointers and links. Cheers!

I would just like to update this thread. As i was doing som speed tests this weekend i saw good r/w speeds on 2.5" ssd. I was looking around and i came across Intel Rapid Storage controll center. It posts that both my drives are connected as sataIII 6gbs. This is just Awsome!
