Battery issue with Inspire S7-391

I have an Inspire S7-391 running Windows 8.1 64 bits. The bios is 2.18.

In the icon bar windows displays the battery level to be 100%, fully charged. But, as soon as we unplugged the computer, the computer stops as the battery is not providing power. In short, unless the computer is plugged-in, it is not powered.

I tried to update the bios, I reset the battery with a pinhole... but nothing fixed it.

Any idea?

In this case, you can try to recalibrate your battery by following the guidelines mentioned on the link below and check if that resolves the issue:
    http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2430/~/how-do-i-recalibrate-the-battery-on-my-notebook-or-netbook%3F

If the issue still persists, you can consider using another battery (if feasible) to check if there is any issue with the current battery. If the issue resolves after using another battery, then there can be some issue with your current battery.

If the issue still persists, you can contact Acer support using the following link for assistance:

    Hope this will help you.

Thanks for your answer, but I don't know how to recalibrate the battery as the laptop does not restart without power. And I don't have a second battery to test.

Thanks Cory. It might actually be this, although I'm not 100% sure. I don't have the proper screwdriver but I tried to tighten it with a hex key and it seemed to do the trick. Just ordered a screwdriver to properly fix it.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for sharing priand,

Hopefully the screwdriver does the job for you. And while it may not help here we did learn from the S7-391, our subsequent designs with the battery safety function were improved to not require a special screw driver and not rely on a single screw.

    Thanks,
