6 and 9 buttons have stopped working correctly today

I had a dialog box pop up today several times and I can't quite remember what it said exactly but I believe it may have been something about the cursor button or something along those lines.  Eventually I clicked on the stop showing the box button now my 6 and 9 buttons have stopped working correctly.  When I click on the 6 button it takes me to the address bar I cannot get this number to work anywhere but the address bar.  The number 9 when I click on it I can hear like a blocking pop up noise and the only way it will work is if I hold it down and then it'll print "99999999999" and I can't get the parentheses symbol to work at all.  There was a recent update to my computer/windows so not sure if this issue has something to do with that.  I've been searching online for hours for answers but nothing is helping.  Does anyone have any clue about how to fix this problem?

Oh sorry about that.  That's a good question.  I have an Aspire R7-572. I wasn't sure whether to post this under the Tablet section or Notebook section.

Aspire R7-572.  After windows update completed on 5/12/15 and 5/13/15 I had a dialog box pop up several times.  Unfortunately I can't remember exactly what it said but I believe it may have been something about the cursor button or something along those lines.  Eventually I clicked on the "stop showing this box" button and now my 6 and 9 buttons are not working correctly. When I click on the 6 button it takes me to the address bar while on the Internet or fails to do anything while in Microsoft Word.  The number 9 when I click on it while on the Internet, I can hear a noise as if a pop up box is being blocked.  The only way I can get this number key to work is hold down the button and it'll eventually print out the number.  However, the parentheses key on this button won't work at all.  Does anyone have any idea how to repair this?  I've been searching for answer online for hours and hours.

Yes, I've seen some of the reviews of yours and it looks like a neat design. There are a couple of things I think of that might give you the symptoms. When you hold one of the shift keys down long enough Windows offers to turn on sticky keys (used by one handed typists), that might have been the popup. The other thing might be a stuck key, weird things can happen when a key is stuck down.
