Hey there,

I have an Acer Aspire Switch 10 that will not turn on.  I was using it to browse the web earlier today when I heard a clicking noise and it suddenly shut off.  When plugged in, it recognizes that it is being charged, but it does not turn on when I press the power button.  Please help!

Thanks,

Ben

In this case, remove the battery from the computer (if feasible) and connect the computer directly to the power adapter. Now, check if it turns on. If it turns on, then there may be some issue with your battery. To confirm this, you can consider using another battery and see if that resolves the issue.

If the issue still persists, then there may be some hardware issue with the computer and you need to take it to nearest Acer service center for further assistance. To do this, the following link can be helpful:

    Hope this will help you.

long press volume down + power button

it will boot to BIOS, once in BIOS exit saving and let the Switch10 boot normally.

Define "long press." Press until computer boots or just a certain amount of time?

    10 -15 seconds?

In this case you should press and hold both buttons until you get the BIOS display. It shouldn't take more than 30 seconds.

This helped me, and my aver turned on.  My next question, this has happened twice in the last few months.  What is the cause and solution?  I'd the battery dead?
