Factory Default Backup (USB no-no's?)

Quick question, I created a USB Factory Default Backup and it became corrupted somehow and I have a quick question.

When creating a USB Flash recovery with a 32G USB Flash drive, will the recovery become corrupted if I put additional files on the USB stick along with the USB recovery information?

In other words, if the USB stick is 32GB and the recovery is 16GB, will I never be able to use the additional 16GB that is free for storage?

It is recomended not to use the additional free space on the USB recovery media. You may format he USB and create the USB recovery media again. You also have the option to purchase the recovery USB media for your computer from Acer store.
