Iconia W700 Recovery Issue (win 8 single Lang)

Dear All,

I owned an Iconia W700 and messed up the operating system by installing another Windows 8 Single Language ISO in it. I wanted to do a clean factory recovery using the Recovery discs provided in the box.

I'm wondering for those who owned Windows 8 Single Language version, what does your recovery CDs say? Windows 8 64 bit or Windows 8 Single Language?

Here's the scenario: My BIOS settings are adjusted to boot in UEFI, supervisor password turned on and Disabled Secure Boot, And lastly, the boot priority: USB CD Reader changed to first. I inserted the System DVD disc and then reboot.

I managed to boot into the Setup, after selecting language as English, I am given two options of restoring the computer. However, NONE of them work. Instead, it prompted me to boot into Legacy mode instead.
So, I rebooted the tablet into Legacy mode, but now the Setup wants me to boot into UEFI mode to proceed.
It has been a continuous loop between UEFI and legacy that gives me headache.

Since I'm using another ISO, my advanced restart in the Settings doesn't have boot in USB UEFI.

My tablet operating system says Windows 8 Single Language but my Recovery discs provided says Windows 8 64-bit (without mentioning single language). Perhaps this is the problem? The packaging? I obtained the discs from the box anyway. The P/N of the Recovery disc 1 & 2: FM.XSCXA.105 while the Iconia's P/N on the box: NC.ASP11.01T.

I am told bringing it over to Acer Highpoint for a reformat is gonna cause me RM120! That's a rip-off.

Please help me in fixing the recovery problem.

It sounds like the partitioning of the drive may not be correct. I would recommend partitioning the drive in 1 single partition, then attempting to load the recovery disks. If you are still having problems, I would recommend you contact Acer support for your region.
