I have got an Acer Aspire E3-112-C10V. I have also recently bought an HDTV with HMI slot so I thought it would be good to watch files and internet content on the TV by linking the two using an HDMI cable (using the Devices /Project/second screen only method). At first this was alright and I was soon enjoying some Netflix programs on my HDTV. Then I ran into problems and after a few small problems the laptop itself crashed and I had to refresh the OS. So the problem is now I cannot watch the Netflix or any videos on my HDTV (which is a Proscan PLDED4022UK) although the TV is working fine as is the laptop. I am thinking of buying a new TV so I can link the laptop to it using a HDMI cable and watch internet content but this is expensive and may not be successful. I know some Smart TVs do have Netflix and also some TVs are DLNA enabled. Does this mean it is more likely they will be compatible with my Acer?
