Can I uninstall software (including antivirus) included in the software?

Laptop that arrived to me, came with preinstalled applications that generate annoying pop-ups. I won't be ever using them, and they suspend download of language packs and I can't install any new updates, because McAfee is most likely blocking it (Microsoft's opinion). Am I allowed to uninstall antivirus without creating virtual danger to warranty?

And how about deleting other programs?

    Frugality101,

If you uninstall the anti-virus application I would suggest that you use the manufacturer of the antivirus applications software to ensure complete removal. I would also advise that you have another antvirus program ready to install once that is done to continue to be safe from malware and other malicious software.

You can uninstall any applications that you wish if it allows. There are some applications that come pre-installed from Acer that have a synergy, so be careful and make sure you create a restore point before uninstalling in case it doesn't work right after so you can go right back.
