Hello,

I bought a new battery, installed it, battery is recognised by the OS (ubuntu) but doesn't charge.

I've updated the bios to last version 1.09 but problem remains.

I've hold power 2 min without power and battery without success.

I guess there is a geniue battery detection protection how to manage it and use the new battery ?

Thank you

    Hello,

    The original battery is:

    BT.00403.022BATTERY.LI-PO.4C.2310mAH (SANYO)

    May be not compatible.

But it is the correct model.

    BT00403022

Why the battery is not charging ?

There is no counter to reset ?

OS/Ubuntu reconize the battery as Sanyo but doesn't charge at all.

    Hello,

Have you checked the ouput voltage (19VDC) of the AC adpater with a multimeter?

Yes I did test it and it's good.

    I own both, same thing.

I can turn on the laptop but the battery doesn't charge.

It seems to me more like a security lock, a feature blocking the charge.

I would contact the seller of the battery. It must be defective and under warranty.

    Really ?

    The battery should charge ?

Usually there no action to do ?

    Nothing to flash, reset ?
