XR341CK Wish List - Feedback Thread Here

Regarding the 21:9 aspect ratio G-sync Monitor that Acer is supposedly working on...
Please see below and if the community would like to add any input it would also be appreciated.

1. 34" 3440 x 1440p IPS Panel with G-Sync Support - Subtle Curve of the Panel would be awesome.

2. 144hz Refresh Rate

3. Response time of 4MS or lower (The XB270HU is a perfect comparison, 4ms with virtually no Signal Processing Lag)

3. Semi-Matte finish

4. NO GLOSSY BEZELS OR BASE PLEASE

5. Please add a small LED light indicator showing if Monitor is in G-sync, ULMB, or any other modes (different colors for each)

6. 3 year warranty, since this monitor will probably be expensive.

7. Quality Control for any excessive backlight bleeding. (Package this monitor well, LG 34um95 horror stories on Amazon)

8. Height Adjust Stand and also VESA mount option.

9. Options to drive monitor at 16:9 ratio (IE 2560 x 1440P with black bars on each side) - gamers sometimes want to run lower resolutions for higher performance in certain games or for competitive reasons, please include this option.

10. Screen Splitter Option for Multitasking and productivity.

11. HDMI connectivity? (I know G-sync currently limited to Display Port, but a hybrid engine monitor?)

12. MSRP at $1,000 or lower?

I love it man, great list. I hope they are taking notes!

Hybrid scaler like the Benq XL2420G, need solid 1080p via HDMI for current gen consoles, profile that maps it 1x1 Would be great, I'd be willing to loose some screen to get the organic res on the panel with a 1080p source

144hz refresh with the anti-blur tech

So many great ideas there, you should be on their staff for product design.

If cost is a factor, I could sacrifice the resolution down to 1080p tall since I'm running a gtx970m and the height adjust doesn't do anything for me since I use vesa arms exclusively.

Everything else there is gospel. Thank you so much for posting this up on their home turf, hopefully they are listening.

I know it's an extensive list, but I know enthusiasts will pay top dollar to get an all in one monitor solution.

YOU REALLY DIDN'T GET THAT 98% OF ALL CUSTOMERS WAITING FOR THIS MONITOR WANTED 144Hz

This is the most eager awaited monitor in the gaming community at this time AND YOU "ACER" TOTALLY FAILED TO DELIVER

Watching the tread at Sweclockers.com when the news hit about IPS 75Hz was a disaster.

98% of all users totally puked at 75Hz THEY WANTED 144Hz

The XR341CK would have been your golden goose this autumn/winter.

IF YOU HAD GIVEN IT 144Hz YOU WOULD HAD ERNED A MOUNTAIN OF GOLD now you will only get a nugget instead.

The XR341CK was the most hyped up monitor in ages, now without 144Hz the bobble is bursted and you will never get back that insane amount of customers willing to buy it.

YOU COULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT ADVERTISING LIKE THIS AND YOU RUINED IT.

I will NEVER pay like 999 GBP for 75Hz, IN YOUR DREAMS !!!

3440 x 1440 = 4,953,600 (pixels / frame)
4,953,600 x 144 (FPS/Hz) = 713,318,400 pixels per sec

---using 8/10bit encoding per channel x 3 channels, ie 30 bits sent per 24

713,318,400 x 10 (bits) x 3 (channels) = 21399552000 = 21.399 Gb/s @ 144Hz
