Need help locating a motherboard for Veriton M265

I have an Acer Veriton M265 with Win 7 Pro. I'm convinced the motherboard needs replacement because there is no video. When you first power on, there is no video but everything lights up as it should and after a minute or so, it has all the signs of being ready to log on but without video, it's dead. I've tried three different monitors all with no video. The signs I'm talking about are the HDD activity light "blips" along, flashing intermittently, the network indicator light also "blips" along looking as it normally does. The keyboard NumLock works as does the CapLock. So, to me, I've got I/O; just no video.

I think I need a new mobo. But I'm unable to find one via Google and eBay. The search has plenty of results but for the wrong system(s). Or it could be that I'm actually seeing what I want but don't know the nomenclature.

I had another thought - just a thought. If I located a descrete video card to drop in, what's my chance of success by bypassing the on-board video and trying to use just the external? Doomed to failure?

Is there anyone here who can point me to a good source of motherboards for this model?

Could you give me the first ten characters of the desktop serial number (S/N)? Only the first ten.

Yes - here's what is on the box:

SNID: (this has 10 chars) *Removed SNID for security purposes.

S/N: PSV88030099 (that's 11 chars) (There's a "natural break" between this set and the next set on the label.

This unit came with Win 7 preinstalled on top of Win XP. This is long past warrantee although we did pay for an additional 3 year extended warranty.

Let me know if this is or is not what you need.

Unfortunately the Intel GMA 3100 graphic chipset is defective (dead) so you need a new motherboard.

You must buy it from your Acer store to use your Windows pre-installed version. The liscense is linked with the model and the S/N contained in the bios. Only Acer can change these settings with a special program.

When you say get it from "your Acer store" to preserve the Windows 7 entitlement, I fully understand. However, can you tell me exactly where is that store? Is it an official Acer website? Is it a third party mobo vendor? Is it at Amazon or eBay? Could you please elaborate just a little for me...

I'm still trying to chase this down, Laurent.

You gave me three models to choose from. I don't know what's inside the box. See if you agree: In order to match things up properly, open it up, and try to see markings on the board itself. Right? They're no doubt buried underneath a bunch of stuff in there. But if I want to get it right, I've got to endure.

What I'm finding here, for others following, is this mobo is getting harder and harder to find. Yes, it is older technology (circ 2009). I'm now cruising eBay to see if I can spot one. But I do need to know what exact Mobo model I'm dealing with.

Your unit shipped with MB.V8809.002 according to my compopnents for the serial number. Now, that doesn't match any of the parts listed in the spare parts list for this unit, but that's what I show it shipped with at time of manufacture.

Any of those three listed will work in your system. I presume that over time they were unable to get the original motherboard due to age and started stocking these other motherboards for these units, but any of those three laurent_14 provided will be fine to get, if you can get your hands on one.
