Acer aspire s7 392 won't turn on - battery LED does not come on with AC adapter

I've had my aspire s7 for about two years now. The battery was running low so I plugged it in, but a short while later it powered off (while the AC adapter was plugged in) and I can't get it to turn back on (with or without the adapter). When I plug in the adapter, the battery LED does not come on so there may be a problem with the adapter itself.

In this case, try using some other power source point and check if your adapter works properly. If it works, then there may be some issue with your previous power source point. If the issue still persists, you can try using another power adapter and see if that resolves the issue. If it does, then your power adapter may be faulty and you need to replace it.

    Hope this will help you.

Hi kleino were you able to resolve this issue?

I am having the exact same problem with my S7. Unfortunately I don't have my SNID either (it's not printed on the laptop) so I can't contact support.

    kleino,

I posted a possible solution in this thread, if that helps solve your problem.

The screw tightening solution posted by Acer-Justin worked for me on my 22-month-old S7-392-9890 a while back.  A Torx T6 screwdriver is required.
