Hello,
I have an Acer Aspire S7-191
http://www.acer.ae/ac/en/AE/content/model/NX.M42EM.016
running Windows 8.1.
When I switch on the ultrabook I see the "Acer" logo and then a line says "no bootable device, please restart system".
Here is what Acer says on its website
> After an unexpected shutdown on a system with Solid State Drive (SSD), you may see a message No bootable device -- Please restart system. This problem occurs when the table of content of the SSD is corrupted due to the unexpected shutdown. It can be corrected automatically by the SSD using the backup of its table of contents.

> Use the following steps to synchronize the tables of the SSD:
>
> Restart the system. As soon as the first logo screen appears, immediately press the F2 key, or the DEL key if you have a desktop, to enter the BIOS.
> Leave the system running for approximately 15 minutes.
> After 15 minutes, arrow over to the Exit menu and then select Exit Saving Changes and press Enter.
> Note: Do not use the power button to exit the CMOS.
> Press Enter again to save changes and exit.
> If the tables have resynchronized, Windows will start the next time the system is powered on.
I tried it several times (waiting up to 1 hour) but it did not work.
I entered the bios and I checked that the drive which the ultrabook is booting on is the SSD indeed.
I tried the Legacy BIOS and it says "hdd0 raid0 status failed strip 64kb 128 gb".
* do you have any idea on the diagnostic? SSD failure?
* should I create a bootable USB drive (using this tutorial
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media
to reinstall Windows?
Many thanks!
