Aspire E 15 Battery Not Charging

Hello!

 

I have an Aspire E 15 laptop and I love it. I have only had it about 8 weeks or so. Today I noticed something about the battery.

 

I always have it plugged in to the mains, I use it a lot so I need to keep it plugged in all the time. Normally it is at 100% and says battery fully charged however today, the mouse pointer was over the top of it and I noticed it that it said 97% plugged in and not charging.

 

I unplugged everything and checked it over and all the cables are fine and so are the sockets. I even tried to plug the cord in to another socket and it was still saying 97% plugged in and not charging.

 

Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Like I said, I have only had it about 8 weeks, this doesn't seem right.

 

If it carries on like this, I am worried that it will eventually get to 0% when it's plugged in and it won't work at all.

 

Any help and advice would be gratefully appreciated.

We created an article for this question here, if you want to look it over. I don't think that there is anything wrong with the system, it sounds like it is working as intended.
