if you set numlock ON and then reboot, it turns OFF?

yes, it does, and even after some minutes not using the keys it will go back automatically to "direction" keys.

if so, you need to modify a windows registry value.

press windows key logo + r

    type

    regedit

once in regedit, search for this string

    HKEY_USERS\Default\Control Panel\Keyboard\InitialKeyboardIndicators

    if the value is 2147483648

    change it to 2147483650

save and exit regedit, reboot and check if it works.

It seems it works correctly now. I can try it some hours and see it it continues to be on the number mode.

I don't understand why it should be on the "direction" mode when there are "direction" keys precisely beside it.

    Thanks for the answer.

I will resolve the issue when I am sure that it will work. Good luck with your job seeking.

Hi again, after some days testing it, it shows that it doesn't work.

It goes back to the (direction button mode) after each start.

try to disable fast startup and check if the registry modification wasn't modified by system:

fast startup disable, use option 1
