    OK.
    I was typing a request to Acer when your post arrived!
    I am guessing but I think I can see what's happened. I suspect the 'real' driver went to Microsoft to be added to their updates procedure thus no requirement for Acer to provide it on their download site. How the HCKX file got there I don't know. Personally, I would rather the driver was also made available on the Acer download site.

    In searching, I found the same issue crop up over a year ago with no resolution! This perhaps explains it.

     

    Have you tried rebooting and doing another Windows update? Hopefully, if other required drivers are needed they will be installed. Also, you could right click and try to update that way too.

     

    Edit:

    Just had a thought. Check your sound options and hopefully you will be able to direct output to the found monitor!

    Also, touch screen may be configurable under USB pointing device or something similar?

    I had already tried to 'update' the driver and it revered back to generic. No worries, I just got the Acer one again.

     

    I'll try your suggestions. Thanks again.
