Problem with my Iconia w700 Tablet

I got an Iconia w700 tablet for christmas 2013, and at first it was great. However, within several weeks of having it it began to have episodes where the touch screen would stop working, which I could fix by restarting. However, within about two months, it stopped working altogether. So I contact Acer support which says I have a 90 day warranty. They insist on mailing labels to put on the tablets box to send back. However, by the time I got the return labels Acer refused to take my tablet back for repairs because the 90-Day warranty had expired since they sent them.

Anyway, have off and on been looking for a fix for the last year, and still nothing. So I'm posting here to see if anyone knows how to fix this before I contact the BBB. I used to like Acer products; but after this experience I can hardly imagine myself ever buying from them again unless they admit their wrongdoing and fix my tablet. Thanks

I feel the same way as you do about Acer's customer service.... or a lack there of.  And I too will never purchase from Acer ever again.

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution to your particular problem.  My problem is different.... The screen has bubbles on the left side.  Also, when I developed what appeared to be memory problems with mine and couldn't restore it to factory using the CD's that came with it, I purchased the Recovery Thumb Drive.  I had backed up the drive using Acronis software.

What a circus that was trying to recover.  Since I needed a small computer to use at a trade show, I purchased from Staples an ASUS Transformer tablet with Windows 8.1 on it.  Great little computer.

I am now using Symantec's System Recovery Desktop 2013 R2.
