Keyboard gone haywire (Acer Travelmate P-253-E)

Hi,
The keyboard on my Acer Travelmate P-253-E has developed a strange fault. The built in keyboard has gone haywire with some keys producing the symbols they should, others producing no symbols and others producing multiple symbols and others directing one into the control panel. Yet an external keyboard plugged in via the USB port works fine (I'm typing in from this now). Can anyone please help?

If you can blow it out it might help, but you probably need a new keyboard.
