Why won't my cursor move on login screen, how to fix this?

Hello, I have a problem logging in now. I have an ACER 1420G, everything functions very good except when I boot up it seems normal until it gets to the screen that I would click on my User Name, enter my password, and login on. MY CURSOR is Stuck, Frozen, Imoblilized from here and I can't move it to select my User at this point. I can bypass this by booting F8 and selecting "disable driver signature enforcement". From there it is acting normal, I can move the cursor and it is normal, allowing me to point and click on user, enter password, and go from there. I have Windows 7, all my updates on all software installed up to date including Windows. I would like to try and avoid reinstalling OS from scratch. I have checked the drivers on the mouse and they say best choice, up to date, and working properly, no way to roll back, either.  System restore has not helped as once rolled back, as I go forward installing updates, it gets stuck again.. This started last week with the Windows updates on 2/10/15, but I did a dumb thing and powered the PC off during the updates in the middle of installation, THEN I also used SlimCleaner registry cleaner, possibly removing important data? I am using a Logitech M510 Mouse, which is wireless, and it works perfect. I don't think the mouse or it's interface is the problem. Any suggestions or support at all would be So appreciated. I don't find this problem and especially any working solutions to this on the web, I have reasearched it and Microsoft community was trying to help me too, but no results.. Thank you!

    IDigMyAcer,

Sorry to hear you are having problems, but it sounds like a Windows update might be causing the issue. I'm basing that off your message stating that you did a system restore, did updates and the issue returned. I would recommend that you do a system restore to before this problem starts occurring, and taking time to install the updates little by little to try and narrow down which exact update is causing the issue to occur, then not install the one that is cauising the issue to occur.

Jason, I will go ahead and accept this as the answer. I will have to sqeeze this project in when I canas this is going to take a while.. and I also am considering just taking it down to a local PC tech and have him check it out.
