Iconia w4 820 battery stuck on 100%

Hi everybody,

 

I bought a windows tablet and my iconia battery indicator stucks on 100%(at the first start), and when the battery run out, the screen (and all of the tablet) just turn off, just like if i pull out the power cabel from the pc.

 

Please help me

    There is a utility called BatteryInfoView that might help in diagnosing the problem. Give it a try and see if it shows actual battery status. If it's also always showing 100% then you likely have a hardware problem and will need to contact Acer support. Let us know how it comes out.

    First of all thank you for your help,

     

    I downloaded the utility, it also shows 100%, thus today i gave it back to the shop, so now im waiting for the diagnose, probably they will change it for the new one.

     

    I will wirting to you, what happens at the end of this case.

    unfortunately, this one doesnt turn on everytime...

     

    the tablet is in a sleep state, and i pushed the button, and nothing happened, i had to push it for 10sec to totaly turn off the tablet and after that i pushed it for 2sec and finally the windows booted again, so something is wrong.

    (moreover during this,there was no feedback from the tablet, no flash light,nothing)

     

    So tomorrow, i will go to the shop again and i ask my money back, thx, acer these tablets are or not usable or just got the bad ones.

    Probably too late to help you, but I have seen this periodically.  Usually if you wait 5 (or maybe 10 seconds) after you press it will actually wake up.  If you press a 2nd time I think you end up putting it back to sleep and so on and so forth.  Haven't really paid attention to the light, but nothing on the screen during this time.  Make sure you're on the latest firmware as it is much rarer with that versus old firmware.  Annoying, but doesn't happen to me often enough (maybe 1 time in 20 or 30?) to make me want to throw it across the room or replace it.

    Yes, i observed it, sometimes i had to wait 5-10sec to wake up, but when it happened i waited more than 15 sec,

    i think it was stuck in a sleep state,

     

    and good to know the tablet was used by non IT man, and unfortunately she didnt know what she had to do, she doesnt know what is a force shut down, etc.

     

    She just wants a tablet which she can use for presentations and not an unreliable one.

     

     

    ill check the firmware.

    Hi,

     

    I am facing the same problem, already the device is repaired but causing same problem again.

    First time when it happens, I sent it to the service centre, but they say I have to pay for it and I did, but recently the problem backs again.

     

    Please let me know the solution if any. Because, I dont want to waste my money again.
