I put the laptop in storage for 4 months after a broken screen.  When I got the replacement screen, it works but many keys dont work anymore:

The rest do, but the above is enough to make the computer rather unusable.

I already upgraded the memory so warrantee is void.

So I am forced to use onscreen keyboard or plug in usb keyboard, however I would like to replace the keyboard.  Maybe I can clean it or repair a missing signal wire?  Also I found replacement keyboard on ebay for $38.

In any case, I opened the back and removed a few things but can't figure out how to remove the keyboard.  It seems like it's connected to the case in a way that removing it involves cutting plastic.  What can I do?

Thanks

I haven't torn into my C720 yet, but I'll suggest you recheck the cable connecting the keyboard to the motherboard. If it's crooked in the connector it can give funny symptoms.
